Letter: Doggy Toilet For McEuen?
How in the world can anyone justify removing a ball field for kids, and then partially replace it with a one-acre dog toilet? It’s truly unbelievable. McEuen Park is considered by many to be the highest valued real estate in all of Idaho. Yet those in charge of land-use actually decided the best use of that magnificent property was to designate an acre so dogs had a nicer place to “do their business.” Wow. I’m already looking forward to that special aroma on hot summer days/ Steve Shamion , letter to Coeur d’Alene Press editor.
DFO: Gotta admit I don’t support a dog park in a corner of McEuen Field. Seems like we already have enough (2) dog parks in town. I wonder if they would encourage more unleashed dog traffic on Tubbs Hill.
Question: Do you think the letter writer has a point?
