Extend wonders of marriage

As we get closer to the election, I would like to explain to you why I married my true love. We could have simply lived together as domestic partners and had the lovely life we have today. However, since we were able to legally marry, why did we do it?

So our children could call us their step-parents; so we could use the language common to our society; so we were protected under the law; so he could be added to my health benefits with no extra fussing; so he could plan a wedding and I could show up and look pretty; and so we could make a vow in front of our children, families, and friends to create a club that is ours forever. Please, before you vote to stop marriage equality, allow others the same rights you take for granted. Vote yes on Referendum 74.
