Didier will manage wisely

Unhappy about the recent smoke-out from area forest fires? It is time to replace our public lands commissioner. Properly managed forests produce income for 17 state agencies, including education, prisons, and roads. Before the fire is dead, burned trees are harvested by tribes on their lands.

Instead of harvesting burned state land trees, our current public lands commissioner lets them rot. Pine beetle infestations are destroying our forests. Although Peter Goldmark was well aware of the endemic pine beetle infestation when he took office, he did nothing until this year when he was required to. What he did is commission a study whose results will not be in until next year!

However, he has made life very difficult for loggers, ranchers who use the grazing lands, hunters, backpackers, hikers etc. He seems determined to close the forests and let them burn.

Conversely, Clint Didier is a farmer who is experienced in land stewardship. Please join me in voting for Clint Didier.
