Obituary: Arneson, Margaret “Louise”


ARNESON,
Margaret “Louise”

Passed away on October 14, 2012 in Spokane, Washington at the age of 96.

She was the last surviving sibling of nine, six of which survived childhood (Ernest, Russell, Ruth, Frank and Clifford).

Her father, Evan Isaac came from Iowa in 1908 and homesteaded in Pangman, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Her mother was Margaret Jane Darby Isaac.

Louise grew up in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, moving to Butte, Montana when she was twenty-one and then on to Chicago and then to Portland, Oregon.

In Portland she was the executive secretary at the Blanchard Lumber Company.

In 1951 she moved to Spokane and married Walter Arneson.

They had a son Tim.

Louise worked part-time as a model at the Crescent and Bon Marche.

She loved to golf, play bridge, garden club activities, enjoyed her family times and attending the Unity Church.

She is survived by her son Tim, stepson Anthony, grandson Cary, and granddaughter Christina.

She is also survived by six nephews and nieces in Canada; Gordon, Louise, Patricia, Diane, Lorna and David Isaac, and three in the U.S.; Pat, Don and George Milne.

A Memorial Service will be planned at a later time.
