Northern Arizona wins on late field goal

Andy Wilder kicked an 18-yard field goal with 15 seconds left in the game and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks escaped with a 12-10 win over the Northern Colorado Bears on Saturday in Greeley, Colo.

NAU stands alone atop the Big Sky standings.

NAU had a 9-3 lead at the half, courtesy of Mike Doser’s 59-yard interception return for a TD with 4:07 left in the second quarter.

Northern Colorado took a 10-9 lead with 4:52 left in the game on a 15-yard scoring pass from Seth Lobato to Dominic Gunn.

Sacramento State 35, Cal Poly 29: Garrett Safron passed for 303 yards and four TDs to propel the Hornets to a win over the Mustangs in Sacramento, Calif.

Morriss Norrise caught seven passes for 97 yards and two TDs for the Hornets, who handed Cal Poly its first conference loss.

Montana State 55, North Dakota 10: Cody Kirk ran for 160 yards and three TDs and the Bobcats amassed a school-record 695 yards of total offense en route to a win over North Dakota in Bozeman.

Montana 70, Idaho State 24: Shay Smithwick-Hann threw three TD passes to lead the Grizzlies to a rout over the Bengals in Missoula.

Portland State 49, UC Davis 21: Kieran McDonagh passed for one TD and ran for two more, D.J. Adams rushed for 139 yards and a score, and the Vikings beat the Aggies in Davis, Calif.
