Classes resume at Louisiana State after bomb scare
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Louisiana State University officials say classes have resumed a day after a bomb threat evacuated the Baton Rouge campus.
University spokesman Herb Vincent said Tuesday that LSU police are leading the investigation into who called in a bomb threat Monday morning.
Thousands of students, professors and workers left campus after a threat was phoned into 911. Police and bomb-sniffing dogs swept through 250 buildings before giving the all-clear.
Campuses in Texas, North Dakota, and Ohio were evacuated Friday after receiving bomb threats, but police found no explosives. LSU officials say it isn’t clear if the threats are related.
