School bus crash closes Hwy 20 near Usk

A collision involving a school bus, a pickup truck and a semi tractor-trailer rig near Usk, Wash. this morning has left state Highway 20 temporarily blocked as troopers investigate. No students were on the bus, according to the Washington State Patrol. But the driver of the pickup truck was seriously injured and the other motorists suffered injuries as well, troopers reported. Details are sketchy as the investigation continues, but the State Patrol said the collision occurred shortly after 7 a.m. about a mile north of Usk on Highway 20 in Pend Oreille County. Traffic was being diverted around the accident scene through an alternate route along Calispel Road.
