“The Welcome” This film documents a healing retreat for vets with PTSD. In Ashland, Ore., in 2008, a dozen vets plus a few of their family members came together in a supportive circle of healing. The intimate setting of a five-day retreat transformed the raw truths about war into powerful poetry and prose, in their own everyday language.
