Body found near climbing rocks identified

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the body found Wednesday near the climbing rocks on East Upriver Drive as 50-year-old Lee F. Finkbonner. The cause of death is still under investigation, according to a news release. Hikers discovered Finkbonner’s body Wednesday afternoon near the cliffs around Upriver Dam. Major crimes detectives were at the scene, though a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office said that’s routine for an unattended death.
