McGrane Joins Sec of State Race

Ada County Chief Deputy Clerk Phil McGrane says he aims to follow the example of the last two Idaho secretaries of state, Republicans Pete Cenarrusa and Ben Ysursa. Both men are renowned for non-partisan conduct of elections and administration of the Sunshine Law governing campaign finance and lobbyist disclosure. McGrane, 32, was born in Pocatello and graduated from Boise High School. He has a bachelor’s in philosophy from the University of Washington, a master’s in public administration from Boise State and a law degree from the University of Denver. He is married with two children. McGrane launched his campaign website and announced his candidacy Tuesday at the Ada County Courthouse/ Dan Popkey , Idaho Statesman. More here. Question: This guy sounds the best so far of the batch who want to replace retiring Secretary of State Ben Ysursa. Thoughts?
