Obituary: Hoogheem, Donny

HOOGHEEM, Donny (Age 77) Passed away Jan. 22, 2013.

He was born to Bert and Verta Hoogheem in Wisconsin in 1935.

Donny married and moved to Spokane in 1955, where he worked for Fairchild Air Force Base as well as Kaiser Aluminum (Meadworks), before starting his career with the Spokane City Fire Department serving from 1960 to 1988 when he retired.

Donny enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating, and snowmobiling.

He is survived by Leona Hoogheem, his sister Lorna, sons, Dan (Michelle), Russ, Doug (Lisa), Grandkids, Kathryn, Jessica, Adam and William and great-grandkids, Ethin, and Aspyn.

There will be a Funeral Service held in his honor on Saturday Feb. 2, 2013 at 11:00am at Thornhill Valley Chapel 1400 S. Pines Rd.

Spokane Valley, WA 99206.

Interment will follow at Pines Cemetery.
