Chattaroy woman dies after mobile home explosion

From staff reports
The female victim in last week’s mobile home explosion in Chattaroy died Sunday. Harborview Medical Center in Seattle confirmed that Sheila Asselin, 57, died after suffering severe burns on most of her body. Her husband, Michael Asselin, 51, died Friday morning. Both were injured when the mobile home Michael Asselin lived in at 3110 E. Chattaroy Road exploded on Wednesday. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office believes Sheila Asselin may have been the victim of domestic violence and believe the fire was intentionally caused. The couple was in the middle of a divorce.
