Tigers keep Peralta on postseason roster

Ap

All-Star shortstop Jhonny Peralta is on the Detroit Tigers roster for the A.L. division series against the Oakland Athletics.

Nearly a week ago he completed his 50-game suspension for ties to the Biogenesis clinic accused of distributing performance- enhancing drugs.

Peralta, who played left field after returning, isn’t in the starting lineup for Game 1 tonight in Oakland. Jose Iglesias, who the Tigers acquired from Boston before Peralta’s suspension took effect, will get the start. Peralta played left field after returning from his suspension, but Andy Dirks will start tonight in left.
