Fri., Oct. 4, 2013
Washington State freshman defensive lineman Emmitt Su’a-Kalio faces a charge of second-degree assault after it was alleged he punched someone Tuesday morning.
Su’a-Kalio appeared in a Whitman County court on Friday afternoon after he was arrested by campus police on Thursday evening. WSU officials would not comment except to say that it would be handled internally by the team.
Chief Deputy Prosecutor Bill Druffel now has until Tuesday afternoon to decide whether to keep the pretrial release conditions that were imposed by the judge on Friday afternoon.
