Obituary: Burress, Raymond E.
Age 80
He was born January 31, 1933 in Albuquerque, NM to Ivan and Mary Burress.
He graduated from Kennewick High and entered the US Navy on August 6, 1952 where he served on the USS Princeton (CVA-37 until his discharge on July 25, 1955.
He married Shirley Jean Brown on March 2, 1954 and they had two daughters Laura and Donna.
He was an electrician for 37 years.
After being together for ten years, Raymond married Norma Jean Thornburg on November 16, 1995 in Coeur D’Alene, ID.
Raymond owned Hazy’s Tavern in Connell, WA in 1998 and also owned the Hunters Inn and Restaurant from 1981 to 2000.
He is survived by his wife Norma Jean Burress at the home, his daughters Laura Gillette and Donna Taggert and their five children and eight grandchildren.
Raymond’s extended family of son LeRoy Denison, three daughters Connie Bair, Audrey Carson and LuAnne Denison along with their 15 children and 20 grandchildren and several niece, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers James and Bill.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of STRATE FUNERAL HOME, Davenport, WA.
