Law

 The Washington State Bar Association has awarded the 2013 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award to Jacob Brennan, an attorney with Etter, McMahon, Lamberson, Clary & Oreskovich, PC. The award recognizes an attorney who has contributed significantly to their field within their initial years of practice.

 Stephen Lamberson, also with Etter, McMahon, Lamberson, Clary & Oreskovich, has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocated and the Washington Chapter of ABOTA.

 Kammi Mencke Smith has been elected to the Board of the Federal Bar Association for the Eastern District of Washington. She will serve as a First Year Trustee for the 2013-14 term. Mencke Smith is an attorney with Winston & Cashatt.

 Jim O’Brien is one of nine people to receive a Gold Award in the Service Spirit category of the annual Spirit of Sodexo Awards program. O’Brien is Sodexo’s general manager at Whitworth University. He has been with Whitworth for 28 years and is a member of the Whitworth Sustainability Committee.

 Embassy Management LLC has hired Michelle Carbon as cost accounting manager and finance counsel. Carbon has five years of experience working with publicly traded companies and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association.

 Home Helpers has expanded its service area to Spokane County and has received the awards of Provider of Choice and Employer of Choice for 2013 by Home Care Pulse.
