Obituary: Greeley, Alma Gertrude
Age 91
Her home was in the country with her family and animals in Chattaroy, WA.
Alma died peacefully at Hospice of Spokane Hospice House with family and friends on August 30, 2013.
Alma was the daughter of R. Keith and Marie Chase of Deer Lake, WA.
Her family includes Terry and Kathie Annis, Vancouver, WA, Cherie Koontz, Napa ID, Christine Crosby, Chattaroy, Patrick and Sharon Louthian, Chattaroy, Gary Greeley, Spokane and Robert Greeley of CA.
Alma was preceded in death by her husbands Warren Annis and Gerald W. Greeley, daughter Keitha Myhro, Grandson Mathew Annis, great-grandson Matthew R. Annis, and many life long friends; Loyal Pierce, Mary Rhoades, Marge Lincoln, Kirk Thresher, and many more.
Alma’s grandchildren include LeRae Rivers, Terry M. Annis, Russell, Rendi, Rodell and Raeleen Koontz, Benz and Cyanna Crosby, Shawntay Shannon, Lauri and Michael Faraschuk, and many great-grandchildren.
Alma grew up at the Chicago Dairy in Mica, WA, then moved to a farm in Chattaroy, during this time she was active as a 4-H leader and Scout Mother.
Her love for her animals was unconditional as they were her emotional support.
Though all her journeys she was a 75 year Grange member, belonged to Unity Church of Truth, Eastern Star, and was a graduate of the 1940 class of Lewis and Clark.
After farming she spent many years in the cooking industry, including 11 years at EWSC and then in market research.
She loved talking with people.
A Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park on Wednesday, September 4th at 2:00 PM.
