Schweitzer Resort chairlift vandalism charge dismissed

SANDPOINT – A North Idaho judge dismissed a felony vandalism charge against a Bonner County man accused of slashing chairlift seat cushions at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

Magistrate Court Judge Justin Julian ruled that prosecutors failed to show that damage exceeded $1,000, the threshold for a felony charge against David Donald Markwardt.
