County panels seek new members

Spokane County commissioners are looking for volunteers to serve an array of county boards and commissions.

The Spokane County Library District is seeking a replacement for outgoing trustee Mary Lloyd, who has reached the end of her two-term maximum for service.

Commissioners said they are hoping to choose a replacement from Millwood, Otis Orchards or Spokane Valley.

The Civil Service Commission has a new opening for a four-year term. Candidates must have lived in Spokane County for two years and be registered voters.

The Spokane Regional Board of Health has openings for two appointees – one from commissioner District No. 1 and one for commissioner District No. 2.

The Parks Advisory Committee has three vacancies – one for each of the county’s three commissioner districts.

In addition, there are openings on the Construction Review Board, Developmental Disabilities Board, Fair and Expo Advisory Board, Housing and Community Development Advisory Committee, Mental Health Advisory Board, Shooting Advisory Committee, Substance Abuse Advisory Board, Tourism Promotion Commission and Water Conservancy Board.
