Tue., Sept. 17, 2013
SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — North Cascades National Park says a climber from Seattle died in a fall Saturday on Forbidden Peak.
The park says 31-year-old Tyler Barton and a partner were on their way down from the 8,800-foot summit Saturday when he was hit by a falling rock and fell about 300 feet.
The body was recovered Sunday by rangers supported by a contract helicopter.
