Obituary: Dice, Anna Julia (Hansen)

Age 95

DICE, Anna Julia (Hansen) (Age 95) Anna passed away September 13, 2013.

She was born on May 14, 1918 in Wilbur, WA to Niels and Anna Hansen.

Anna married Noel Dice on October 24, 1937.

She had four children: Ivan (Sharon) Dice of Spokane, WA.

; Dennis (Donna) Dice of Everett, WA.

; Lynda (Adrian) Lair of Newman Lake, WA.

; and Alan Dice of Salt Lake City, UT., six grandchildren: Kimberly Dice (Greg Block), Mitchell Dice, Robert Cranford, Deborah (Mike) Clark, Deanna (Phil) Mobley, and Teresa (Rob) Tipps.

She had 13 great-grandchildren: Jordan Dice, Brandi and Matthew Clark, Michael and Anthony Cranford, Talyr, Kylee, Shelby, Desirae, and Lauren Mobley, and Nicholas and Gracie Tipps.

And also two great-great-grandchildren: Mikelle Mobley, and Elijah Chadis.

Anna was a wonderful wife and mother.

She and Noel were married for 64 years, and she dedicated her life to raising her children and taking care of her family.

She was an amazing cook; who can forget the holiday family get-togethers at her house where we gathered to enjoy her delicious food!

And her legendary pies are still talked about today!

We all remember her gorgeous rose garden with the big wooden wagon wheel.

She had an immense love for cats and dogs.

She also enjoyed drawing and playing the harmonica.

Anna was a true believer and she and Noel attended Zion Lutheran Church regularly to worship.

Anna is survived by her brother Ivan Hansen of Livermore, CA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Noel, her parents: Niels Lars and Anna Meta Christina Christensen Hansen, and three brothers: Carl, Ing and Walt Hansen.

There will be a memorial service at Zion Lutheran Church, 8304 E. Buckeye Avenue, Spokane, 99212, on Thursday, September 19th at 2:00 pm.
