Spokane police looking for Hillyard gas station robber

From staff reports
A man entered a Hillyard gas station, showed a gun to a clerk then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise early Thursday morning, according to Spokane police. A robber wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans and a bandana over his face entered the business at 3021 E. Wellesley Ave. around 12:20 a.m. Thursday, according to police. Law enforcement arrived and attempted to track the man, described as around 6 feet tall and 225 pounds, using a K9 unit, but the search was unsuccessful. Investigators are working with the business owner to obtain surveillance footage that might provide a more specific suspect description. Those with information on the robbery are asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
