Semitruck collision on Trent kills two people

A collision between a semitruck and a pickup on Trent Avenue at Starr Road east of Spokane Valley has killed two people, the Washington State Patrol says. WSP has not identified the victims. They previously reported one fatality, and about 5:15 emergency workers reported that no victims would need to be transported to the hospital. The wreck at about 4 p.m. partially blocked Trent during rush hour Tuesday afternoon and caused traffic detours and backups.
