Obituary: Winther, Dawn R.

Age 77

WINTHER, Dawn R. Dawn R. Winther passed into the arms of her Lord with her family by her side on September 24, 2013.

Dawn was born in Cottonwood, Idaho to Reynold (Jack) and Emma Robertson on July 7, 1936.

Her family moved to Spokane, WA where she attended Logan Elementary and North Central High School.

Dawn realized her dream of becoming a nurse when she received her LPN degree from Community Colleges of Spokane, serving as a nurse for over thirty years.

Her favorite childhood memories were with her father, watching the sunrise from the front porch swing, and fishing with him in the early morning hours.

Her passion in life was her family.

She loved travelling with her husband Earl, and cherished her days gardening, scratch cooking, baking and smoking ribs in her smokehouse.

She is survived by her husband Earl; her daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Doug, her grandsons Ian and Zachary; Earl’s son, Scott (Donna), and their children Travis, Ty (Mehgan); and grandchildren Brieanna, Kyanna, Rory and Wyatt.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane, at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 28, 2013, followed by a gathering of family and friends at the Winther home.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane, who we are grateful to for a peaceful home and gentle loving care for our mother, grandma, wife and friend.
