Obama visit purely political

I saw in the paper that President Obama is going to tour the Oso mudslide site. Give me a break. This is purely a political move. His physical presence at Oso will do absolutely no good. Neither he nor his staff will move any debris.

If he really wants to do a good deed, he would take all the money that would be spent on Air Force One (I believe $1 million per hour), lodging and food for him and his security, additional local security expenses, local helicopter service, etc., and use that money for cleanup and restoration for that community. That money is forthcoming anyway; why add the expense of a presidential visit?
