Obituary: Kronberger, Eleanor Jean

Age 80

KRONBERGER, Eleanor Jean (Age 80) Eleanor Kronberger of Spokane, Washington died peacefully in her sleep on April 19, 2014 at Hospice of Spokane.

Born November 30, 1933 in San Francisco, California to Frank D. Granzella and Loretta “Rose” Stack, she is predeceased by two children, George (1959) and Jacqueline (2007).

Ellie was a social worker for the Spokane Neighborhood Center, and wife of Capt.

Dean Kronberger (USAF, retired).

The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2006 while on vacation in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

She knew no strangers, and often made quick friends of passers-by.

Her love of conversation will be missed.

She is survived by four sisters: Roberta Christiansen, Delores Toombs, Barbara Kachadorian, Patricia Castro; one brother, Michael Hanlon; one proud son, John (Anne), and grandchildren Nicole and Eric of Littleton, Colorado.

Private services were held.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Spokane Hospice for their support in her final days.

After cremation, her ashes will be buried nearby her birthplace in the Presidio by the bay.
