A fire broke out this afternoon in a restroom/changing room at Silverwood’s Boulder Beach Water Park near Athol. Silverwood temporarily evacuated the water park as firefighters fought the fire and reopened the park about 4:15 p.m.
The fire broke out in the building, on the northeast end of the waterpark, about 1:45 p.m., Silverwood spokesman Mark Robitaille said.
There were no injuries, but the building is a loss, Robitaille said.
The water park has one more week of operation left in the season.
Timberlake and Northern Lakes fire protection districts responded to the fire.
