The Chanticleers (12-2) had gone ahead 32-31 when De’Angelo Henderson scored on a 2-yard run to open the fourth quarter.
Sam Houston State 34, Villanova 31: Jared Johnson threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns, and orchestrated the game-winning fourth-quarter touchdown drive, to lead the Bearkats (11-4) into the semifinals with a win over the Wildcats (11-3).
