Brewer, Turiaf part of trade

Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS – The Houston Rockets made a move to bolster their depth on the perimeter on Friday, obtaining veteran swing man Corey Brewer from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a three-team trade that also included the Philadelphia 76ers.

Houston will send guard Troy Daniels to Minnesota as part of the Brewer deal, sources said. The Rockets will also give Minnesota a 2015 second-round pick – via Sacramento – and a future second-round pick, along with cash.

Minnesota will send former Gonzaga player Ronny Turiaf and a second-round pick to the Philadelphiia 76ers, sources said. Turiaf recently had surgery on his right hip and will miss the remainder of the season.
