It’s BYU vs. Penn State for volleyball championship

Micha Hancock could finish a standout career in storybook fashion. Brigham Young’s story is pretty good, too. Hancock, Penn State’s senior setter, will try to win her second consecutive national championship in Oklahoma City, just a few miles from where she played high school volleyball in Edmond. The Nittany Lions (35-3) will face BYU (30-4) today for the title (4:30 p.m., ESPN2). The Cougars are trying to become the first unseeded team to win it all. Hancock was a first-team All-American and the nation’s leader in ace serves. BYU features 6-foot-7 right side Jennifer Hamson as the key player on the nation’s best blocking team. – AP
