Knezovich shows leadership

Rep. Matt Shea is an expert in creating conspiracies, and it was laughable to see him call someone else a “bully” in the Dec. 21 paper, stating, “Nothing terrifies a bully more than someone who will stand up to them.” It seems Shea is terrified of someone standing up to him, and that person is Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich.

Calling for the sheriff’s resignation over a phrase one of his deputies used is ridiculous. If this is how low Shea’s threshold for resignation is, then he should have resigned years ago.

People, the Sheriff’s Office is not coming for you. I am a gun rights advocate, own many myself and feel just fine with how the Constitution is being protected. The real issue here is quite simple: The sheriff is the only Republican who ran for office this year (other than Josh Arritola) who had the courage to stand up and speak out about this destructive and divisive individual. Thank you, Ozzie.

And now, to all the other Republican representatives, senators and leaders in Spokane County (especially those of you who listed Shea as an endorser), please pay attention to the sheriff because he is what leadership looks like.
