Rockwood center sets town hall event

Rockwood South Hill is having a town hall meeting Jan. 5 with District 3 representatives. Sen. Andy Billig, Rep. Marcus Riccelli and Rep. Timm Ormsby, all Democrats, will be in attendance.

Also attending is Scott Sigmon, lobbyist for LeadingAge of Washington, which is a state trade association for groups providing housing and skilled long-term services for seniors and people with disabilities.

Before the 2015 Legislature starts, lawmakers want to hear the concerns and issues of the local senior population, said Lisa VanMansum, Rockwood Retirement Communities communications coordinator.

Participants are asked to bring written questions and include their name. Forest Estates resident Correen Morrill will moderate and organize the questions into groups.

The meeting is from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Rockwood South Hill Community Center, 2903 E. 25th Ave. For more information, call (509) 536-6656.
