Former University High, WSU football player Chris Dyko dies in hit and run in Florida

Former Washington State offensive lineman Chris Dyko was killed Sunday in a hit-and-run accident in the Florida Keys.
Domingo Veloso, an 88-year-old Sugarloaf Key man, was jailed Sunday after he reportedly struck and killed a bicyclist with a sport utility vehicle, didn’t stop, then returned to the crash scene, the Florida Keys Keynoter and Reporter Newspapers reported. The rider was Dyko, 48.
Dyko is a 1984 graduate of University High School and a three-year football letterman for the Washington State Cougars. His current home was listed as Bremerton, Washington.
Veloso was charged with a felony count of leaving the scene of an accident with injury.
