Sheriff: Shooter targeted teen near Moses Lake

Police say a 16-year-old boy shot and killed this morning near Moses Lake was targeted, not the victim of a random attack. No suspect is in custody, however, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said. Brandon Michael Mende, 16, was shot around 3 a.m. at a home at 6020 Turnkey Road Northeast in the Larson Housing Area just outside Moses Lake. Detectives were interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence there today.
