From staff reports
A drive-by shooting that sent a man in his 30s to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday may have been prompted by a fight over loud music, Spokane Police said Monday. A dark-colored SUV drove up to a home in the 800 block of West Walton Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday, honking its horn, Spokane Police Lt. Mark Griffiths said. When the victim stepped outside on his porch, one of the occupants fired, Griffiths said. Witnesses said multiple people were inside the vehicle and it’s unclear who shot. Investigators are aware of a fight that occurred at the address earlier in the day, reportedly about loud noise coming from the home. Detectives are investigating a connection between the two incidents, police said. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
