PULLMAN, Wash. — Ruth Hamblin totaled 15 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks, pacing the Oregon State women past Washington State 67-53 Friday night. OSU (18-9, 10-5 Pac-12) shot 45.8 percent from the field and outrebounded WSU 48-32. Sydney Wiese had 16 points with four assists. Ali Gibson and Gabriella Hanson scored 13 apiece and Gibson corralled nine boards. The Cougars (14-14, 8-7) stumbled to a 19-of-66 shooting performance (28.8 percent). Lia Galdeira finished with 18 points and Dawnyelle Awa added nine. The Beavers surrendered a 12-5 run to close the first half, but still led 37-33 at the break. In the second half, they held WSU scoreless until Galdeira made a layup at the 13:13 mark. Wiese followed with a layup and 3-pointer to put OSU ahead by double digits for good. Hamblin has 101 blocks this season, becoming just the fourth player in Pac-12 history to surpass 100.
