Police: Man shot in reported robbery at North Spokane motel

From staff reports

Spokane police say a man was shot and taken to a hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening during a reported robbery at a motel early Thursday.

A guest at the Apple Tree Inn, 9508 N. Division St., told a manager he’d been beaten and robbed in his room around 4 a.m., police spokeswoman Teresa Fuller said. Later, a local hospital reported a man had been brought in with a gunshot wound, and investigators determined the two incidents were related, Fuller said.

Witnesses were not offering police much information, Fuller said. No arrests have been made, she said, but major crimes detectives were on scene Thursday morning investigating.
