Isaiah Thomas willing to sacrifice for wins

Isaiah Thomas says he considers himself a starting point guard in the NBA but he’s willing to sacrifice that. Thomas, acquired by the Phoenix Suns in a sign-and-trade deal with Sacramento, will be part of a double point-guard system and in a rotation between Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe. “When it comes down to winning I’ll do anything it takes to win,” said Thomas. The 5-foot-9 Thomas was the last player chosen in the 2011 draft out of Washington. He worked his way up to being one of the highest-scoring point guards in the league, averaging 20.3 points a game for Sacramento. He signed a four-year, $27 million contract with Phoenix. – AP
