Obituary: Skok, Richard Louis “Dick”

SKOK, Richard Louis “Dick” Captain U.S. Coast Guard (Ret.)

Dick Skok, age 80, passed away at home on October 9, 2014 with his wife of 60 years and son, Terry at his side.

He touched so many people in his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Skok and other relatives.

He leaves behind his wife, Marcine and six children and their families; also his mother Eleanor H. Skok (age 96), two sons: Peter Reinert, wife and family; Paul Nicholas and wife; and daughter, Sandra Lou and family.

A Funeral Mass honoring Dick will be held at 11:00a.m., Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at St. Mary Presentation Catholic Church in Deer Park located at East 602 - 6th Avenue, followed with interment in Holy Redeemer Cemetery with military honors.

A reception will follow at the church’s social hall.
