Kerri: Hat Tip … To Those Who Run

On her Facebook wall, Post Falls Councilwoman Kerri Thoreson posts: “Feeling empathy for all whose names appear on the ballot today, regardless of my intentions of casting my vote for them or not. Unless you’ve ever run for public office, at any level, there’s no way to describe the feeling of exhilaration to live in a country where that’s possible and the vulnerability of putting yourself out there so publicly. Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that candidates/politicians are real people … our neighbors, who have a desire to serve and a willingness to participate in the most public of “job interviews.” I’ve won some and lost some but never regretted taking the shot. So to all of the candidates, I salute you. And to all of you eligible voters I encourage you to do your part by casting a ballot today.”
