NBA: Stephen Curry had 34 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Golden State Warriors past the depleted Houston Rockets 98-87 Saturday night in Houston in a matchup of undefeated teams.

Houston played without center Dwight Howard (flu-like symptoms) and power forward Terrence Jones (bruised right leg), which made things much easier for the Warriors inside.

• Clippers hold off Trail Blazers: J.J. Redick scored 30 points, Blake Griffin added 23 and Los Angeles hung on for a 106-102 win over Portland in Los Angeles.

• Davis carries Pelicans past Spurs: Anthony Davis had the game-winning basket, finished with 27 points and 11 rebounds, and New Orleans edged San Antonio 100-99 in San Antonio.

• Olynyk sparks Celtics: Kelly Olynyk scored 18 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to lead Boston to a 106-101 win over Chicago in Chicago.

• Hawks rally past Knicks: Kyle Korver scored 27 points and Atlanta rallied from 15 down in the third quarter in Atlanta to hand New York its fourth straight loss 103-96.

• Knight propels Bucks to victory: Brandon Knight converted a three-point play with 1.1 seconds left to rally Milwaukee to a 93-92 victory over Memphis in Milwaukee, handing the Grizzlies their first loss of the season.

• Heat snap two-game skid: Dwyane Wade had 25 points and eight assists, Chris Bosh scored 24 and Miami beat Minnesota 102-92 in Miami to end a two-game losing streak.

• Wall, Nene propel Wizards: John Wall tallied 18 points and Nene scored 17 to lead a balanced offense as Washington defeated Indiana 97-90 in Indianapolis.

Crosby’s five assists spark Penguins’ rout

NHL: Sidney Crosby had five assists, and Pittsburgh earned its seventh straight win with a 6-1 rout of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York.

• Flames defeat Panthers: Lance Bouma scored the go-ahead goal on a one-timer from the slot to lift Calgary to a 6-4 win over Florida in Sunrise, Florida.

• Lightning keep Blue Jackets reeling: Tyler Johnson scored twice and Ryan Callahan added a goal and two assists to lead Tampa Bay to a 7-4 victory over Columbus in Columbus, Ohio, handing the Blue Jackets their eighth straight defeat.

• Flyers stop Avalanche: Claude Giroux had two goals and an assist and Philadelphia held off Colorado 4-3 in Philadelphi for its third straight win.

• Capitals win in OT: Nicklas Backstrom scored off the rebound of Alex Ovechkin’s shot at 4:46 of overtime to lift Washington to a 4-3 win over Carolina in Washington.

• Predators cool off Blues: James Neal and Filip Forsberg each had a goal and an assist as Nashville beat St. Louis 2-1 in St. Louis, snapping the Blues’ seven-game winning streak.

• Canadiens tame Wild: Lars Eller scored the tiebreaking goal late in the second period and Montreal beat Minnesota 4-1 in Montreal.

• Islanders blank Coyotes: Frans Nielsen scored the lone goal with 2:31 left in the third period, Jaroslav Halak made 19 saves, and New York held on for a 1-0 win over Arizona in Glendale, Arizona.

• Jets win in shootout: Mathieu Perreault scored in the sixth round of the shootout to give Winnipeg a 2-1 win over Ottawa in Ottawa.

• Maple Leafs slip past Rangers: Leo Komarov snapped a tie with 5:34 left and Toronto outlasted New York in Toronto.

Rollins takes two-shot lead into final round

Golf: John Rollins took a two-stroke lead in the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi, birdieing two of the final five holes for a 4-under 68.

Rollins has a three-round total of 14-under 202.

William McGirt was second after a 66.

• McDowell clings to lead: Graeme McDowell shot a 1-under 71 that kept him in the lead at the HSBC Champions in Shanghai. But just barely.

Hiroshi Iwata of Japan birdied two of his last three holes for a 68 and was one shot behind.

• Davies in three-way tie for top spot: Laura Davies of Britain shot a 5-under 67 to share the Mizuno Classic lead with Ai Suzuki of Japan and Ilhee Lee of South Korea after the second round in Shima, Japan.

Red Bulls advance despite loss to United

Soccer: Peguy Luyindula scored his second playoff goal in as many games and the New York Red Bulls advanced to the Eastern Conference finals despite a 2-1 loss to D.C. United in Washington.

The Red Bulls advanced 3-2 on aggregate after winning the first leg 2-0 last Sunday.

Former UNC football player files lawsuit

Miscellany: Former University of North Carolina football player Michael McAdoo has filed a lawsuit against the Charlotte, North Carolina, school, saying it failed to provide him and other athletes a quality education by guiding them toward sham classes.

McAdoo was ruled permanently ineligible in 2010 for academic violations connected to a tutor providing improper assistance on a research paper for a class in the formerly named African and Afro-American Studies.

• Czechs lead Germans in Fed Cup: Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova won the opening singles matches to give the Czech Republic a commanding 2-0 lead over Germany in the Fed Cup final in Prague.

Kvitova, the Wimbledon champion, cruised past Andrea Petkovic 6-2, 6-4 and Safarova beat 10th-ranked Angelique Kerber 6-4, 6-4 to put the hosts one win away from the third Fed Cup title in four years.

• No. 1 badminton player fails dope test: A senior Malaysian sports official has confirmed badminton World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei has failed a doping test.

Lee, who won silver medals at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympics, faces a two-year ban from competition.
