Quite a day for East Valley

 In addition to East Valley’s 1-3 finish in the State 2A boys cross country meet in Pasco, the Knights were winning all over the map on Saturday.

 In Yakima, the East Valley girls soccer team defeated East Valley-Yakima 4-1 to advance to state.

 In Spokane Valley, the Knights volleyball team rallied for a five-set victory over East Valley-Yakima to advance to the state tournament for the second consecutive year.

  • Central Valley also had a big day throughout the state, with the Bears winning the 4A regional volleyball championship in Richland, the girls soccer team defeating Mead for a state berth and the boys cross country team placing fifth and the girls sixth at state in Pasco.
