People: Bieber yet to start community service

Justin Bieber has paid more than $80,000 to the owner of a home he egged but has otherwise made slow progress on the terms of his sentence in the vandalism case, probation officials said in a report disclosed at a hearing Monday.

The pop singer has yet to begin his community service or complete the majority of the anger management sessions ordered by a court, the officials wrote to the judge handling the case.

Still, Bieber’s attorney Shawn Holley said the singer is on track to complete his sentence by February.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Leland B. Harris did not express any concerns about Bieber’s progress and ordered the singer’s case to be called again on Feb. 10 for an update.

Collins says leaked tape cost all future income

Stephen Collins wants a judge to deny his estranged wife any future spousal support payments over the leak of audio in which the former “7th Heaven” star purportedly acknowledges molesting underage girls.

Collins’ attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan filed a trial brief Friday stating that his client has lost all future earning power due to the posting of the audio on celebrity website TMZ.

Faye Grant has denied she provided TMZ with the recording made during a 2012 therapy session. The Associated Press hasn’t authenticated the audio.

A trial on how to divide the pair’s assets is scheduled to begin Wednesday.

Collins and Grant were married in 1985, and the actor filed for divorce in 2012.

The actor had agreed to pay Grant $13,000 a month in spousal support. Her attorney Larry Ginsberg did not immediately return an email seeking comment.

Report rips clinic that treated Rivers

A New York City clinic where Joan Rivers suffered a fatal complication during a medical procedure made several errors, including failing to keep proper medication records and snapping cellphone photos of her while she was unconscious, state health investigators said Monday.

Rivers, who was 81, died Sept. 4.

A report released by the state Department of Health on Monday cited Yorkville Endoscopy for numerous deficiencies related to the Rivers case, although negligence is not alleged. The comedian’s death was classified as a therapeutic complication.

The federal Department of Health and Human Services has given Yorkville Endoscopy until Jan. 7 to correct deficiencies to avoid losing Medicare accreditation.

In a statement to NBC News on Monday, Yorkville said the physicians referenced in the report no longer provide services there.
