Wind Chill Tonight, Snow Thursday

Arctic air moving over the Inland Northwest today is expected to combine with a moist storm off the Pacific Ocean to bring the region’s first snow of the season on Thursday. The National Weather Service said that wind chill values - the feeling of the cold on exposed skin - could reach a dangerous minus-3 degrees tonight in downtown Spokane with winds gusting to 25 mph out of the northeast. The low is expected to drop to 12. Coeur d’Alene could see a wind chill of minus-6 tonight and a low around 9 degrees. This comes after the region enjoyed mild conditions during the first half of autumn with much of the Spokane region escaping its first frost until November/ SR . More here .
