A Well-Written, Local History?
Earlier this week, Dave, a friend of mine, and I were discussing books about local history. He had his favorites. I had mine. We discussed
one writer who deserves community credit for chronicling local history. But wasn’t much of a writer. I challenged my friend, who has a book shelf full of local histories, to tell me his favorite local historical writer. He couldn’t think of anyone off the top of his head. I suggested Chris Carlson’s “Medimont Reflections,” which chronicled the issues from recent history that helped shape Idaho. Chris, who also writes an online column for local newspapers and the Ridenbaugh Press, knows how to put pen to paper. What do you think?
