Pedestrian seriously injured in downtown collision
Spokane police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision at the intersection of West Sprague Avenue and South Browne Street.
A vehicle hit a pedestrian around 1:20 p.m. Friday, then left the scene. The driver later returned and was questioned by investigators, said Spokane Police spokeswoman Ofc. Teresa Fuller.
Fuller said the pedestrian had serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. He was later reported to be in stable condition.
The driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian and no valid driver’s license. The victim requested that the driver not be charged with hit and run, police said.
