Obituary: Beachem, Darlene Mildred (Ruhe)

Age 87

BEACHEM, Darlene Mildred (Ruhe) Darlene Beacham, 87 of Metaline Falls, WA passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 in Spokane.

Darlene was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to Ada and Waldo Ruhe on August 9, 1927.

She married Jack Beacham of Payette, Idaho in 1945.

They moved to North Pend Oreille County in 1950, where Darlene resided for 64 years.

Darlene was a homemaker, as well as working 25 years for the school district as lunch-aide and secretary.

She was also an active member of the Women’s Fellowship, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Chamber of Commerce, the Cutter Theatre, the Z- Canyon Stompers square-dance club, the Young-At-Heart club and Home-Makers Club.

She loved life, her family, her friends, her community, and was quick to laugh and dance and to lend a hand.

Darlene is survived by sisters, Neva Boyd, Grand Island, NE and Harriet Meyer, Central City NE; daughters, Jill (Ernie) Parker, Blaine, WA and Pam (Jeff) Smith, San Jose, CA; sons, Jerry (Kathy), Metaline, WA, Mike, Metaline, WA, and Tim, Carlin, NV; and by fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; sons, Kenneth and David; daughter Janice; and eight brothers and sisters.

Services will be held Saturday November 22nd, 2014 at 2pm at the Metaline Falls Congregational Church.
