Obituary: Mcdonald, Tsgt. William Joseph “Mac” Bac, Usaf Ret.

Age 88

McDONALD, TSGT.

William Joseph “Mac” BAC, USAF RET.

Mac McDonald went home to be with The Lord November 9, 2014.

Husband, father, grand-father, great-grandfather, and a friend to so many Mac has impacted lives and will be missed by all.

Born in Spokane, WA March 17, 1926, Mac called Spokane home.

Mac graduated from Rogers High School in 1944 and joined the Navy serving as a Machinist Mate during World War ll.

After the war ended Mac returned to Spokane but finding the military way of life calling, he soon joined the US Air Force where he served with pride.

Having his family with him was always a priority and when possible wife Millie and daughters Laurie and Christy relocated with Mac to Puerto Rico, Florida, and Las Vegas.

Upon his military retirement in 1968, Mac caught the sales bug and obtained his real estate license becoming a Realtor.

Mac felt real estate was not only his livelihood but truly endeavored to serve others needs, helping them to achieve their dream of owning a home.

Serving in the military and as a realtor were vocations but serving Jesus was Mac’s calling.

He was a founding member of the Berean Bible Church in the Spokane Valley serving the Lord in many and varied ways.

Telling others about Jesus was always important to Mac and he was not bashful about sharing his faith.

He wanted others to know how Jesus could change their lives just as He had changed Mac’s life.

Only the Lord knows how many lives Mac impacted through his personal testimony.

Mac and Millie were married for 48 years until Millie went to be with Jesus in December of 1996.

Mac later met Ruthie and they were married for the past 18 years.

Mac has two daughters, Laurie (husband Chuck) and Christy (husband Ed); four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, all of Spokane.

Ruthie and the Family would like to invite those who knew Mac to join in a celebration of his life Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Berean Bible Church in Spokane Valley.
