Want to learn more about your historic Valley home?

The Spokane Valley Heritage Museum is the place to go for research on older Valley homes.

“We have searchable databases of Valley structures and buildings,” said Jayne Singleton, director of the museum.

Visitors may do their own research or ask for help from volunteer research assistants.

The museum has a large collection of scrapbooks, notes, photos and articles about Spokane Valley.

The museum is located at 12114 E. Sprague Ave. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is $6; $5 for seniors; and $4 for ages 7 to 14. Children under 7 get in for free.

Volunteers are always needed for a variety of tasks. Call (509) 922-4570 or email spokanevalleymuseum@gmail.com. The museum’s website is valleyheritagecenter.org.
