Surveillance video released in Spokane Valley pharmacy robberies

From staff reports
Investigators released surveillance video from two Spokane Valley pharmacy robberies last weekend, in the hopes it will help the public identify a suspect. The cash reward for information in the case has been increased to $2,500 due to a donation from RxPatrol, a collaborative effort between pharmacists and law enforcement to collect and share information about pharmacy theft. The first robbery was reported at the Walgreen’s at Sprague Avenue and Sullivan Road around 4:40 p.m. Nov. 15. The robber said he was armed and demanded oxycodone and suboxone. He was described as a white man age 30-40 wearing a black coat and black gloves with his face covered. The other robbery was reported at the pharmacy in the Albertsons at Highway 27 and 32nd Avenue at 6:50 p.m. A man reportedly showed a knife, jumped over the counted and began grabbing pills. He was described as a white male in his 30s, about six feet tall wearing a dark coat, beanie and a scarf wrapped around his face. He was last seen running south on Highway 27. Anyone with information on the identity or location of anyone involved in the crime should call Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest tip line at (800) 222-TIPS or (509) 327-5111 or submit via their website, www.crimestoppersinlandnorthwest.org. Tippers may collect rewards for anonymous tips, and are not required to provide their name or other identifying information. The surveillance video from the two robberies is below.
